Hi there recenlty we moved locations, and have 4 clients running notes 8. At location A the machines worked fine, but when we were forced into moving our office down the street, the same client machine comes up with the error, cannot find our server. I changed the location from office to home and it worked. Why is that? Secondly, when we installed a new client it worked just fine! Any ideas, as we un/installed the client and it worked. I don't want to have do that for any future client machines.

There could be many possibilities but the first one I thought of is that the client just sometimes gets confused about where it last found the server. You can go into User Preferences, choose the Ports tab, and from there start a Trace (button on the right side of the panel). If you have any others that have that problem then you can test it.

When one of our clients gets confused I notice that the status bar says "searching for server/mail domain at last known address (mail domain)..." instead of last known address (server). The trace fixes that.
