I want to experiment with resource files for multi-lingual support but it doesn't seem to be in the list of available add-ins shown in the Add-in manager. Could I have overlooked this somehow during VB6 install or is there some other reason why I can't find this?

I have looked on two other VB6 PC's which have the same symptoms.

Thanks in advance.

It may have been overlooked during the installation. I would start by trying to reinstall the resource editor.

Thanks and Good Luck!

Well it should be listed in the Add-In Manager as "VB 6 Resource Editor". I can't recall if it's part of the default installation; I always do a custom install and select everything. Try starting a custom install and see if you can select it.

Thanks guys - I loaded up the VS6 CD's but I can't find any Resource Editor in the install nor can I find any group of components that might contain it which is not part of the default install.

Any idea as to which group of components it might belong to and/or the name of the executable/DLL that should be installed?

Thanks again.

Got there finally - I simply had to change project references and tick Visual Basic 6 Resource Editor for it to become visible in Add-in manager. Feel a bit of an idiot but it would be nice if documentation pointed towards references rather than to Add-in manager when reference has to be in place first.

For future reference (no pun intended), the DLL is RESEDIT.DLL.

Duuhh & Grrr.
