Macola/Progression 7.5.102C
Pervasive 2000i
Netware-6/SP5
Workstation WinXP/SP3
This is probably something trivial simple, but it is driving me nuts.
I had to setup a new workstation with WindowsXP. Not had to do this in years.
But when I try to start Macola clicking on the desktop shortcut,
it ends up saying it cannot find MACOLA7.INI and sometimes even Betrieve.
The network/server has been working for years, and other workstations
even those with WinXP/SP3 likewise work just fine. It's just this new workstation.
Only difference I can think of is this is a fresh new WinXP install from scratch,
not an upgrade to a previous existing Win2K machine.
I put the NW server/IP into the Hosts file, and added the NW server to TRUSTED sites.
This workstation/client has full rights to the NW drive/volume where Macola resides.
I run the Pervasive Analyzer and it passes all the tests, from this same workstation.
I have reinstalled the Pervasive client again, and also the Macola client again.
Problem still remains.
It seems like it is a security access issue or something similar.
But I cannot think of anything else that could be blocking it, or what more I can add.
Makes no sense. I'm out of ideas.
Anyone have a clue?
Thanks, Chris.
