Cannot find graphic in a layer

Newbie here, so be gentle. I'm working with a template, but support from them in Russian is not cutting it.

I'm trying to find a graphic I see in my preview that I think is in Layer 1. However, I cannot find that graphic anywhere.

I guess I need step-by-step instructions for finding everything in this movie. I can find everything but this one thing, apparently.

I have been through the library numerous times trying to find this, and I cannot. I have put all the layers on outline view, and I cannot find it. It is a list that scrolls down and replaces a row of thumbnails when a menu selection is made.

If I delete the whole layer, I get rid of it (my goal). However, that deletes the thumbnails too (not my goal).

Can you attach your .fla or point to the original template's url, and describe the graphic you're after?
