I have 2 e420's (Solaris 8) that are supposed to have sar installed (default). However I cannot find sar anywhere? I discovered this when trying to activate sar using sarcheck. Is there a easy way to install sar???

Thanks

You don't see it under /usr/sbin/sar????

It should be there by default.

No, I didn't see it there. I did have it on another Sun box and copied everything to their appropriate location. I was able to start sar collection and sarcheck started reporting. This is a mystery to me.....

Thanks

sar appears to be part of the SUNWaccu package. Perhaps if you reinstalled that from your CD-ROM it would get you started. Then check for any outstanding patches for that package you may need to install. Annihilannic.

Annihilannic is correct, however, the SUNWaccu package is not on the Solaris8 install CD. It is on the "other one". I can't remember the name but it's something like Additional packages or add ons or something like that.
