I am getting a message(Cannot find C;\Program) at startup. Whien I click OK everything seems to work fine. The only problem that I have is using my router. I have full connection on both computers but the 2nd computer is saying that it is not connected when in fact it is. I am using XP on the problem system and 98 on the other. Are these problems related? Thank you for any help

internet Connection: SBC DSL
Router: Netgear
I am also using 2 systems on 1 monitor, keyboard, mouse etc...

again please any help will be appriciated

The first issue sounds like a bad entry in one of the registry RUN keys during startup. Hijack This! should be able to identify the key and allow its removal if you scan with the utility:
The second issue sounds independent: it would show a networking connection status, but not an internet connection. If you have not enabled networking between the two computers then this status report would be normal.

You might consider doing a malware scan on the XP computer. See the instructions in faq608-4650
