Look at the /nsr/logs/daemon.log and see if there are any problems/errors, especially when starting up NetWorker.

The errors sound like you have a corrupted media database.

Hi!

I think you should Scavange the media-database.

Hello,

I just got this error also and am running 5.5.1 on Solaris 7. How would one scavange the media-database?

Thanks,
arubum

- stop Networker daemons
- in /nsr/mm/mmvolume6
delete all "*_i" and "*_i.*" files
- restart NetWorker
- check the daemon.log file for errors

Media scavenging is not the solution to all problems...

If you seeing errors in the log files... what are they? The more information you provide, the better we can understand the nature of the issue.
