We are setting up two new servers on a new domain. We have svr1 that was the 1st DC in the domain and has a share on the hard disk called support. The 2nd server svr2 is the 2nd DC and again appeared to be no immediate problems.
However; when we create a mapped drive or browse the network to the support drive through the windows interface and try to run setup.exe (on all applications) it says it does not have permission!. it it the administrator logged on so full permissions are granted to the folder and the share.
When you browse to the share under the command prompt, you can execute the setup.exe!.
You can copy, move, delete, etc files and folders over the mapped drive/share we just cannot execute files under explorer.
svr1 can execute files in the folder.
Any ideas?
