Hey everyone. I've been lurking the boards for awhile and I always find the answers that I'm looking for. Today I am stumped. My boss bought a Summit X450e-48p used from ebay to expand a customer's voip network and I have been able to console in but nothing more. I would just like to rest to factory default. When it says to press and hold down the spacebar I've done it in every imaginable way from holding it down and then powering on the switch to various button presses per second. I have not been able to input any info such as login or BOOT AS MASTER-CAPABLE command. Is trhis switch just fried or locked up? Here is what I'm getting:

It sounds like it was previously part of a stack. Once it gets past the pending login, let it sit for about a minute. Then press the enter key. It should let you input your login information at that point.

You have to hit the space bar, just as the "Running Post" is just about finished. That should get you into the bootrom. Once there, you want to type config none, then reboot. It's all in the timing of hitting the space bar just at the right time.
