Hi,
We run a macrotised spreadsheet that ran perfect in OfficeXP-Excel. We are performing some testing on Office2003-Excel and after the macros have run, when we try to paste in Excel we keep getting the message "Cannot Empty the Clipboard"

Anyone have any ideas/solutions?

Thanks!!

I have the same problem in Office2000. This is on a new install. I cannot copy and paste even 1 cell without getting the error message. It happens in any spreadsheet.

please help!!!

Are your machines running Remote Desktop? I've run into this happening to users after they use the remote desktop tool. The fixes I've seen are:

- Reboot. Will work fine until it breaks again.

- Saw this suggested elsewhere, hasn't worked for me, but you can try In Excel, Go to Tools -> Options -> Calculation tab -> Automatic should be checked.

- In Task Manager -> Processes, kill the process named rdpclip.exe

Give those a try and see if it works.

yes these are all temporary solutions but i was hoping there was a way of preventing it from happening for good.

thanks Lillabeth, do you know if there is a fix for W2000/ Office2000 based systems?

If you have Getright or Flashget software, open that software, and uncheck the option "Monitor the clipboard". If you have any 3rd party software that has links to Excel, suspect it also.
