Cannot edit 'Set Type' in communication Manager, Manage Endpoint

I am swapping out a bunch of 4610s with 9630s. When I go into System Manager/Communication Manager/Endpoints/Manage Endpoints it will not let me simply enter 9630 in the set type. It will only let me enter a template. entering a template changes setting on the endpoint. Is there a way to just change the Set Type or Model?

you may need to set up an alias for 9630 in "change alias station" if 960 in not natively supported , when that is done 9630 will be an option.

yes as monty stated, sounds like you are on a older software release, you will have to alias the station
