Cannot edit Address Book

I need to have a user edit a connection in his personal address book in Notes v6.5.4. He is able to open the Address Book, expand Advanced, and click the Connections document to view his connections. I have him select the item and click Edit Document, but he cannot make any changes.

We also tried make the changes using Lotus Script and he recieved the following error:

Notes error: you cannot update or delete the document(s)since you are not list as an allowable AUTHOR for this document.

The Access Control Attributes for the Address Book show the user as a Manager of the database.

Can anyone tell me what I am missing?

Check the field "owner" of your connection document,
it's a author field.
If the user, or a group including the user, or a role given to the user, is not in the field, he cannot edit the document.
