cannot download keycodes/patches 1

Hi y'all;

I have gone all through the krs process, put the keycodes onto my computer & cannot retrieve the file from element manager.

I thought it might be an issue that could be resolved by the new cumulative patch, so I downloaded the patch and I cannot get that to load either.

When I select 1 or the other the screen just goes blank and there is no response.

Am I missing something?

I alway put it in an other folder then retrieve it .The patch copy and paste.

cook1082... how would you paste it into element manager. I can move the patch around in my laptop I just can't get it onto the bcm

I have found that I need to put the patch in a seperate folder but the key should be able to be added from your desk top.

U said u have a BCM 3.0. U should be using Unified Mgr not Element Mgr.

Make sure the patch is not compressed, like cook said what I do is unzip it into a folder then load from there.

thanks hawks, I missed that he was saying to unzip the file, I did that as well (unzipped). Still unable to retrieve the file.
Although I have just been able to get the keycodes in through a telset. What a pain in the...

If its a BCM 50 be sure you have the newest version of Element Manager installed. If not, the patches or keycodes will not take.

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

depending on the patch you may have to load the SoftwareManagement patch first. Then load the cumlative part 2nd. The SoftwareManagement allows for element manager to load the patch.

What confused me and a few others, was you didn't say what BCM Version and Rls it was and you said EM and and 3.0

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.
