Im running MCD 4.0 and am having a problem with the 0 option in the menu. every time it is pressed I get "Im sorry but no one is availible to take your call. Begin speaking aftr the tone....." I have 0 assigned as a multicall to a few phones in the office. From an internal set you can dial 0 and reach these users just fine. Under voicemail, 0 is setup as an extension only mailbox. Im about to just build this in call director and say forget it, but I still need to get it fixed. anyone know what might be going on here?

Your mention of call director makes me think you have a Nupoint although you haven't said as much.

Do you have the FCOS option to transfer to attendant enabled?

Are you attendant transfer strings configured correctly?

I do have nupoint, though the AA is on the embedded voicemail on the 3300. What I meant is I think ill just take the 20 minutes to setup an AA in call director.

For the embedded mail, Make sure that mailbox zero has extension zero as it's assoc extension.

instead of programming a key zero on the phones, I would make zero a speedcall that translates to a 3 or 4 digit extension (whichever applies to your site) the key would associate with the multidigit number and ultimately the VM would match the multidigit number. This method gives you the greatest flexibility with minimal effort.

kwbMitel's suggestion is how we do it, but I would also try a tranfer mailbox.

Please what is the difference in assigning mailbox "0" with "0" extension only to assigning it the operator's DN because it also works. Under what circumstances do you assign "0" or the DN

zodiacgam, There is no real difference other than the setup by ckipe required it to be zero as the key he created was zero. My point in checking was to make sure it wasn't something else as you have pointed out it could easily have been.

yep that did it.

I went back into the mailbox config and entered 0 for the extension and 0 for the operator extension. I called back in and everything works fine now.
