Hi,
I have couple of BCM50s in different locations. At one of the locations, when users dial an 800 xxx xxxx toll free 10 digit number, they get a 'restricted call' message in the display. To note that, this error displays while pressing the last digit (10th digit).

In my information, i have not restricted with such a criteria. Where is the dial digit length located in BCM50 configuration, if thats the problem?

Thanks for any help..

Problem is not with the dial plan. Problem is that there is a restriction set to the set or line. Check your restriction filters for both the lines and sets with the issues

r u using a pri? If so there,s a setting where u can decide how many digits to send out. I think it,s under dial plan and public.

Check your PRI settings with your other sites.see if they match.
I think if you have Changed the PRI DN TYPE in Routing from The default Public(unknown) then you need to assign the DN dialout lenght depending on your access code to suit.
Go to Dialling Plan -Public Network- Public network DN lenghts.
as DASHEEN says also check out the dialplan

Normally In the UK we leave it Public(unknown) so we dont have to change these settings.

Dont forget to let us know if you have resolved the Problem
Every bit of knowledge may help some one else.

Citiny has is , when you get the message restricted call that is a restriction not DN length.

Thanks for all your posts. The dialing plan is set to Public (Unknown) for all the sites. as Cook1082 said, if it was a restriction, where it will be restricted by 10th digit? Where should i look for this restriction? In my information, all sites are identical in restriction and no settings are set in this way.

I appreciate your helps

Telephony
- Call security
- Restrictions filters

check them all and see if there are any restrictions starting 800

Nothing found! 0nly the default restrictions. But in my case it ends at 10th digit. there is no restriction more than 3 digits (911 etc)

If you know how try logging the UIP data in BCM monitor for an example call and paste the results here..

Ok
to chectk line filters go to Lines -Active Physical lines and select a line.
The bottom half of the screen opens
The filter assigned to Normal is the filter you need to check defaul 03.
You also may have a Restriction service mode on then you have to check these filters as well, night etc.

Sorry I should have asked you to do this for each active Physical line to see if the same filter has ben applied to all lines or a custm filter built.
The default filter mey have been changed to a custom filter

Thanks a lot Snowman50 and others!
It was a line filter which was set a non standard filternumber. There in I found my affected 10 digit number!

Thanks snowman, for the pinpointed answer! it was LINE FILTER

Can you just clarify something

what was the filter and where was it ?

Sure, All the lines what i have (Line 61, 62, 63, 64) was set the filter number 07 which has my 800 number inside it. May be set by the previous sysadmin as part of the previous restriction in this branch.

Thanks again!
