cannot delete task from outlook 2000

A user has several assigned task items in his sent items folder. When he tries to delete or open these he receives the following error:

"Can't open this item. The property does not exist. The field you want to modify is not valid for this type of item."

I can move the the item between folders but not in to Deleted items!

We are running Exchange 2k SP2 at the backend.

I can only think of two possibilities. The task form that was used was based off a customized task form that the system can no longer find.

Or if the task form was not customized then the frmcache.dat file may have gone bad and needs to be replaced with a fresh copy.

The message though sounds like the task form in question was customized. joegz
