Cannot delete some printers

I am replacing printers on my network. When I try to delete some LJ 8100 DN's from the print server, it returns the status of "Deleting", but then doesnt delete.
The event logn tells me the printer is "pending deletion" but it never actullay deletes. The printers are not shared when I try this.

You might want to reboot the server then try again to delete it. This has happened to me before.

Stop and start the spooler and then the printers should delete

Thanks to all who posted, I discovered what the problem was. If there are jobs in the que, you cant delete the printer. Restarting the print server would work allright, as it would delete the jobs.
But, once you delete the jobs you can delete the printer.
