Cannot delete pages through pages tab?

My garbage can and new pages selections are gone from the pages tab
does anyone know if there is some preferences or other settings that need to be thrown out? I already tried to go default workspace to restore.

Dual 1.25 G4 / Tiger / Indesign CS2

It sounds like you might have a little corruption. You might try trashing ID prefs (Library/Preferences/Adobe Indesign) and relaunching to see if the things now come back. If not, you might want to reinstall.
