Cannot delete file from File server

Hello

I am running a WIN2K file server.One of the users was trying to delete a XLS file from his directory in the server but he gets the message; " The file cannot be deleted 'Its being used by another person or program.Close any program that might be using the file an dtry again."
I said to users to close Excel and try again with no success however.I checked in the server if there was any proccess running and kept file locked but it seemed to be normal.

Any ideas?

i use unlocker to handel probs like this, it shows u wich prog is using the file and it can unlock/delete it.

Open up the computer management console and go to Shared Folders --> Open Files. Right-click on the entry for the excel document and disconnect it.
