I really hope that this is just stupid as I am frazzled.

IP403 system with 2 16 expansion units + PRI unit.

I have a 100% remote user that was setup as a with an IP extension. All it does is redirect to his home number. I guess they did this so it would not tie up any of the ports on the IP400 16 units.

He moved here and now works out of the office. I have been unable to reconfigure it so his extension rings directly to his phone. So, I setup an immediate solution involving auto-forwarding calls to another extension.

I have tried to delete the IP extension, which seems to work, until I log back in after rebooting. It comes back every time. So, I deleted both of his extensions in both user and extension in the mamager, but again, after rebooting they are back. I unplugged his phone just for humors sake to the same end.

If there are any ideas out there I'd be grateful.

Thanks,
Mike V

when you deletedthe user did you send the config back ?
it is offline programming
so when you change the config and didn't send it back it won't change

I guess I asked for that. Yeah, I did merge as well as When Free and the same thing.

Well, I was able to delete them. Apparently there is a delay from when a change is made after the switch is rebooted. After leaving it for 10-15, the extensions were gone.

So, now the problem is - I need to associate the extension to a port on the switch (I have around 10 ports unused). Is there a delay there too when a port is reassigned from one of the 200 series internal number to the DID ext?

one of the first things I do with a new system is delete all the 200 range users. I do not want them, and I always make a template user for each phone type/button layout/etc. Then copy, and paste to make all the users I need. With 3.2 and user rights, I have not really nailed down a new habit yet for making users, since I am kind of still new to 3.2.54 which is where I started using 3.2

SO I have never had to move an ext port away from assigned to a 200 range user, I just delete all the 200 range users out of the box.
