I have a Windows NT 4.0 Server with SP5. Backup Exec 7.0 is installed. Backup is not running despite you schedule a job. There is an Active Job which is Pending. The whole backup exec is not runnning even though all services has started. No error from the Event viewer.

Can someone help me to get rid of that Active job?

Is the backup hardware there and detected? If not, it can cause pending jobs to have problems.

What happens if you double click on the job? What is in the report so far?

Hi Zelandakh,

Thank you for your quick response. I've been able to delete the Active job after disabling the device. The active finally timed out. Then, I've been able to delete the job.

FYI: There was 2 Active Job (Inventory). I deleted both jobs. Now when I reboot the server, 2 active jobs (Inventory) are running. One remains Pending while the other completed successfully.

Any idea?

Thanks.

Hi Zelandakh,

Thank you for your quick response. I finally got rid of those 2 Active jobs which were Pending. I disable the device and they finally timed out. Then, I've been able delete them.

But now, when I reboot the server, those 2 jobs will run again. One will be Pending while the other will run successfully. They are not scheduled. When I click Abort, it will instantly abort the job.

Any idea?

Thanks.
