I cannot cut and past a row from Excel 2007 into an Access 2007 table row. When I try I get the message: "The data on the Clipboard is damaged, so Microsoft Office Access can't paste it." I can cut and paste once cell at a time, but when I try two or more, or more than one row, I get the error.

I could do this easily with Access 2000 so would like to know if there is a fix or work around for this or if this is just the way it is with Access 2007. I can use the Access Excel Import wizard but my user wants to simply cut and paste if at all possible.

Thanks for your help.

I found the answer to this: It was a MS bug created when MS installed a security patch last December. It will / is be fixed in SP 2, in the meantime, there is a hot fix available from MS.

A simple work around is to copy your Excel data to the clipboard, THEN CLOSE the Excel file, then paste the date into Access. Works great. To copy another block of datea of course, the Excel file must be re-opened and the procedure repeated.

Hope this all helps everyone.
