Cannot Crop in PPoint After Using Insert, Picture, Photo Album

I am using Powerpoint 2003. I inserted 16 screen captures into slides using Insert, Picture, New Photo Album with the slide template with one picture and a title. I now want to go into each slide and crop the pictures. When I click on a picture and then pull up the Picture toolbar, the crop icon is inactive. If I add a picture separately from these others, I am able to crop the new picture.
I just tested it where I added the same screen captures with each one filling the entire slide. The Picture toolbar still doesn't have crop. It seems to be some override or bug in creating the Photo Album.

My goal is to create a slideshow from a number of screen captures and then edit the slide titles and crop the pictures.

Alex,

The photo album is great for creating quick picture slideshow.... but it's not so good as you've found out if you want to edit or alter the slideshow.

Thanks for the suggestion. Does Image Import Wizard fix the cropping problem? I wrote to the programmer but got a bounceback.
