Cannot Create PO from IC

We are using Accpac 5.4. We have a problem create PO from IC.
We have Reorder Quantities setup as minimum 2, maximum 20, and reorder 1.
Now we have 3 on hand, and we have a SO with 10 on order.
When we tried to use Create PO from IC, it didn't create a PO.
When we tried to print the Reorder Report, nothing showed up.

Anyone know the reason for this? Any help will be appreciated.
 
You have 3 on hand, that is greater than your minimum of 2. The SO qty is not taken into account.
 
have you correctly linked your PO, IC and OE? Which is driving the Purchase Order? If it were correctly set the OE should drive the PO regardless of the min order levels and stock on hand, and should create the required order, from both IC or OE.
 
What do you mean by correctly linked? Actually the function of Create PO from OE or IC worked fine before. Just suddenly it doesn't work any more.

Then you need to figure out what changed.
 
have you tried reloading the sub-ledger program files and the patches? Also confirm all latest updates for desktops and servers if windows. What version workstations as that could have bearing on the issue?
 
Nothing has changed. After this happened, we tried a lot. We reinstall PO and SO. We installed newest SP for SO and PO.
I just checked that we have a lot items with QTYONHAND + QTYONORDER - QTYONSODR < MINLEVEL, but when we tried to run CREATE PO FROM IC, it didn't create anything.
 
have you tried the same process on sample data, can you isolate whether it is program or data related, if it is data it could be an out of sync uniquifier...
 
What do you mean by sync uniquifier? I have tested everything on the server.
We have a archive database for 2009. I have run the reorder quantities report, got the same result as I run the current database. Only 1 item showed up. When I went directly to the database and checked, there are over 100 items have less than minlevel.
 
Accpac uses uniquifiers for every transaction in the database. it maintains the audit trail, I suppose if you are having trouble with data that worked previously then you are having program issues or compatibility issues within the environment. I would load a standalone machine with programs and data and see if the same thing occurs. not an issue which I've heard of in the past. Did anything happen that you can recall before the functionality ceased? I really would try it with sample data as well as any historical data. Sounds as if you have it well in hand.. Best of luck
