I cannot copy the new moh file from the pc to the flash memory on the cisco router. When I try to telnet in to the router I get in, but the system gives me an error timed out when trying to move the file.

I have a tftp servdr running on the pc, but it does not transfer the file.

What are the steps in telnet to get the new file onto the flash memory?

Thanks in advance

verify you have enough space on the router (memory) to hold the file. (dir flash)

the command I use to copy is:
copy tftp flash
then it will prompt you for the required info: host ip, filename, destination filename

when its done do a save.

Good Luck

Hi

make sure that the tftp-source interface is the interface on the network that your tftp server is, also make sure that the default gateway of the PC is the router, even if it's just for to get the tftp copy working.

HTH,

Neil
