I have several HP UX 11.11
# uname -a
HP-UX serv175 B.11.11 U 9000/800 2566374996 unlimited-user license
HP-UX serv139 B.11.11 U 9000/800 3520069059 unlimited-user
patches/software on these systems are more or less the same (my colleagues say, I am pretty new to hpux). We have a hp Support ***** contract all-incl.
all hosts work fine but to host serv175 I can not connect via eXceed: I start eXceed and the grey window opens. Usually I get a CDE login within that window, but on this host it turns black and flickers back to grey within a second. On the host I saw a corefile of dtgreet and found errors in /var/dt/Xerrors
Wed Jun 7 08:54:43 2006
error (pid 22789): Can not execute Dtgreet /usr/dt/bin/dtgreet for WORK5507.mydomain.com:0
dtgreet is the same executable as on other hosts; I did not check the 20 shared libs yet...
I restarted /sbin/rc3.d/S990dtlogin.rc several times, no change, but the dtgreet core gets a new timestamp... ;-)
Has anybody ever seen this? (btw: hp hasn't they gave us a bunch of new patches)
Best Regards, Franz
