At one of our satellite companies they have two different SonicWalls one in each location and all of the guests connect via a login webpage. You enter your guest user name then the password. After a few seconds you now have internet access.
Recently when I try to get on in either office the webpage does not show up and my browser times out. I tried using FireFox, IE and Chrome and get the same results with each and I never had the problem before. I tried using an IOS device (iPAD) and was able to get on line. Next I tried a MAC and again I was able to get on-line. Finally I tried with another Windows machine and again I was able to get on-line. The problem lies on my machine.
Trying a standard wi-fi connection, once I enter the key, I am able to get on-line fine. When I go hardwire I can still get on. It is just using the SonicWall login website that is the issue with my laptop.
I ran virus and malware scans and my machine came up clean. I dumped the cache and cookies, that was a waste if time. I shut down the Windows Firewall and that didn't help. In the network and sharing center I made sure I was in the "Home" network and still no good. I checked to see if there were any proxies and there were none. I seriously doubt that it is in the SonicWall since my other machines can get on line and no one else is having an issue so it definitely has to be me.
I am pulling what is left of my hair out with this. Any suggestions?
