Cannot connect to TVS100

I am trying to login to a TVS100 and make some changes to extension names and I am unable to log into the TVS100. I have started hyper terminal and restarted the TVS100 when I do this I am receiving information from the VM system saying it has passed all of the tests and started but when I press enter to log in nothing happens. I have trued this with the rotary switch set to 0 and 2. I would prefer not to default the system if at all possible.

Make sure you have a full null modem lead. If you only have rx pin connected you may not get to talk to the system

I figured it out. I had a problem with the setup of hyperterminal. Thanks for the info.
