Dear listers,
Despite AS & SP3 re-installs (x3), MDAC 2.7 SP1 install, I am unable to register the Analysis Server. I have confirmed that my login is a member of the OLAP Admins and granted Full Control on the MsOlapRepository$ share and run the MDAC Component Checker to confirm MDAC 2.7 SP1.
When attempting to connect (locally), I am confronted with a 'Connection to Server Failed' dialog box that states : 'Cannot connect to the repository. Error: 'Provider cannot be found'
Strangely, while attempting to connect the same server via another client, I receive: 'Unable to connect to the registry on the server'.
Is someone able to direct me towards a resolution?
