Cannot connect to ...\samples\db_samples database

Can anyone pls explain 2 me why the connect database option is not connecting to the db_samples database in the samples directory of my autocad prog.?

It always claims that sql failed to connect, possibly due to wrong password.

However, when you click configure, and go through the steps using MS jet4.0 etc (without setting a password), and click test connection; it connects.

Your help / insight would be appreciated.

The 'Test Connection' in the UDL for Jet means next to nothing. It basically validates the path and that's it. The problem could be the version of MDAC on your machine. As a test, set the .MDB up as a DSN in Control Panel. Then create a new UDL and use ODBC instead of Jet and see what happens.

Also, with your current Jet UDL make sure 'Persist Security Info' is set to False.
