I have just replaced my server after the last one died a nasty death last week,
I have set it up so that it is identical to the last one, however now my remote sites cannot access the network fully.
They dial in via VPN over an ADSL connection.
When they log in the username and password is authenticated but it says that they have been logged in using cached information. They can access outlook, send and receive internal and external email, but they cannot browse the network or access shared directories.
I have looked at the firewall settings and all seems to be Ok. Is there some glaring issue that I have overlooked?
Running NT server and NT workstation on the clients.
any advice appreciated.

hi,

is there a WINS server on your network ?
don't forget, broadcast are block by default on routers.
if not use wins server or lmhosts file.

regards,
