For some reason I can't connect to internet via my Siemens wireless station. A Netopia broadband router is connected to one of the siemens station lan ports. This is also true for one of the computers. The which is physically connected to the Siemens station works fine. The broadband router gives it the adresses it needs and i can ping both the Netopia broadband router and the siemens station via the pc. The problems lies in the computer which is supposed to be connected via wireless configuration
(using a 3com usb wireless card). The wireless connection finds the Siemens station, but the Netopia broadband router can't send out addresses to this computer. I have tried to ping both the broadband router and the Siemens station, but to no avail. Another problem is that the software that is supplied with the 3com card will not start as it can't find the driver. Even though XP has found the driver. Have also problems with the signal. Even though XP shows the signal as execellent, the rate shows as 1Mbps! (it is a 11 Mbps card)

My configuration is as follow

Broadband router: Dhcp server and gateway:10.24.142.81 DNS: 217.13.4.24
217.13.7.140
netmask:255.255.255.248 (only allowed 6 connections)

Siemens wireless station: have put the ip adress to static (recommended in manual) 10.24.142.83, also filled in above mentioned DNS and Gateway settings.

the computer physically connected via cable has been given Ip address 10.24.142.82

thank you for your time
