I need arguments for the tech support, as Ashley insists that everything at Godaddy is working fine. Here the problems:
About Wednesday I began to have problems sending and receiving mail from my mail client (Eudora) with an alert that it could not connect to secureserver.net (godaddy's server). Could not send or receive mail on Thursday or Friday. Tried to access webmail from my office computer. Connceted with the Godaddy server, but something blocked the log in page. (java.)
From Friday tried to access web mail from my home computer. Same result - connected but could not view web page. Spoke to tech. Tech suggested upgrading to six.
Upgraded to Ie6. Same results.
Phoned tech service. Said it was something on the computer. Turned off fire wall, turned off virus software. Same Results.
Ran remaining updates, which caused the computer to fail. (minor problem.) Switcehd to backup computer. Logged on with dial up. Same Results. Logged on with DSL. Same results.
Called again. Tech suggested resetting email account. He did. No improvement.
Called tech support again. Pointed out that three computers with three different configurations are experiencing the same problem. Ashley insists that there is nothing wrong with the system. I ask her to get the problem to tech. She insists that a firewall or pop up blocker is the cause (none present on this desktop - also no av software).
I have a week of email backed up and I need to get to it. lGodaddy is no help. I need somehow to explain to them that something is wrong. Anything you can tell me greatly appreciated. (I won't get the email alert, but I can check back_.
