Cannot connect to Contivity VPN using Netgear Rangemax WPN824 router

Any suggestions from anyone using Nortel's Contivity VPN Client V04_15.14? I recently moved to this new router and now I am unable to fully connect to my work's VPN using various gateway servers. I get as far as the "Waiting for banner text..." message prior to it timing out. I've done so much research online and it seems no one uses this router!! ;-)

Things I have tried:
* all the suggested port forwarding (50, 51, 500, 1701, 1723...)
* latest firmware (V2.0.10_1.2.17NA)
* powering down and rebooting
* DMZ on/off
* respond to ping on/off
* changing MTU size

Any ideas???

Did you figure this out? I have the ame NetGear Router and am using the Nortel COntivity VPN Client. I am unable to connect also. Please let me know what you find out
