cannot connect to client / server

Hello,
I have couple of questions:
1. I recently upgraded server from 2000 to XP. I could not bring admin interface on XP after this. I then installed 7.1.3 and I can bring up the interface but -> continue to 2

2. I can't backup any clients. The command savefs exits with error code 9 (as seen in daemon.log).
On client side if I try to bring up user interface it cannot connect to server (it says no server found).

All IP / client name mapping is fine. I can ping all machines from each other. The netwroker services are all running.

I am at complete loss , can anyone offer suggestions,

1. XP is not supported as a NW server platform. Although it will run.

2. Do you tell us the whole story? - I bet you run SP2. There are some issues and basically it will not work unless you shut off alll security features on your machine. Please see The Legato web for details.
