Greetings,
Last night I successfully upgraded our bcm 400 from 3.7 to 4.0. All the phones are working as well as voicemail, faxes, etc etc.
The issue is that I am unable to ping or use the element manager to connect to the BCM from the network. When I plug into lan2 with a cross over cable, I am able to get on using the 10.10.11.1 and I can ping 10.10.10.5 which is the ip address that lan1 is configured as.
The obvious reason is that the subnet on the network is 255.255.0.0 and the phone system is 255.255.255.0
Since the only thing that was changed was upgrading the BCM, I'm assuming there was a setting that didn't carry over during the upgrade. What am I missing? I'm not a network guy, so please go easy and be basic! :)
PLEASE HELP!

If you can get in using the other LAN go into config and change the subnet iif it's wrong on the other LAN.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Are you using the nnadmin login instead of the ee_admin?

sorry, missed the part that you did get on using 10.10.11.1

Greetings!
Thanks for the responses, I just found a solution. Not sure if its the "best" solution, but its working now.
The phone system was seperated from the data system with the subnet, so I didn't want to change that.
However, I was able to add an additional IP to the lan1 with the data's subnet and it all works now!
