Last night I successfully upgraded our bcm 400 from 3.7 to 4.0. All the phones are working as well as voicemail, faxes, etc etc.
The issue is that I am unable to ping or use the element manager to connect to the BCM from the network. When I plug into lan2 with a cross over cable, I am able to get on using the 10.10.11.1 and I can ping 10.10.10.5 which is the ip address that lan1 is configured as.
The obvious reason is that the subnet on the network is 255.255.0.0 and the phone system is 255.255.255.0
Since the only thing that was changed was upgrading the BCM, I'm assuming there was a setting that didn't carry over during the upgrade. What am I missing? I'm not a network guy, so please go easy and be basic!
