I am running Backup Exec v8.0 for Netware (5.0) and am trying to connect using the Windows (16-bit) client from a Windows 2000 workstation.

One workstation is 100% fine, another workstation cannot see the Backup Exec Server. Therefore it must be a problem client-side. But what?? HELP!!

We had the same problem and were told to buy the multi-server version. Apparently, BE looks at NT and 2000 boxes as servers even if they are workstations. Once we got the multi-server version we were able to back everything up OK.

Have u added the services in your network settings (control panel). if not, please go to the control panel >> network then add services and select veritas from the list.

On the server end, please enable workstation support and re-execute the backup exec at server's end.

Hope this will help
