Hi All,

I am having a small issue with Apache. All the computers within my network can access the web server but any computer outside of the network won't. It is not a DNS issue because I have tried using the IP address. I have opened up port 80 in the Firewall, so that should not be the issue either. I have searched the FAQs and tried Keyword Search but I could not find anything. Does anyone have any ideas of what it might be? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Apache noob

Are you using your public ip when you try to connect with the ip? Http traffic coming into the router from the outside should be forwarded to the lan ip of the server. If you can connect using your public ip but not your domain name, then I would say it is indeed a dns issue. DNS points your domain name to your ip.

axl163,

It could be a port forwarding issue as RhythmAce suggests. What IP address are you using to attempt a connection to your Apache server, and what error message do you receive?
