I have a win 2k machine which has a shared folder that other clients can connect to. Every so often i get a message saying "Network Path Not Found" when i try and connect to it by \\computername, ive also tried conecting by its IP address. I can ping the machine but it will not let me connect. he only way i can get into it is b y doing a ipconfig/release then an ipconfig /renew on the PC with the shared folder. I can then connect no problems. ipconfig /all shows all the correct settings for IP dhcp dns etc.......

Anyone got any ideas???

You may be better off to give the machine a fixed ip address rather than getting it from dhcp
