Cannot connect through broadband

I have a laptop with windows 2000 all the latest service packs installed. I have vpn secure client which used to work previously. Today I used my laptop to connect to a network which shares the same ip address as my company's ip address. After coming back home I tried accessing my company's resources over the vpn. But it is not going through. vpn does authenticate me but after that I am not able to proceed. And wierd part is that I am able to connect using my dial up. Please help....
