Hi there,
I purchased a video card (i think its the standard vga connection to the montherboard), but then I notiticed that there is no vga slot on my board. I only have 3 IDEs it seems.

Is there any options for me? or do I have to just refund my card.

any input on this will be great :)

thanks

Do you mean you have an AGP card and nothing but PCI slots?

If this is your case, you swap for a PCI graphics card.

Ed's right. Most video cards today are either AGP or PCI-Express. However, there are many motherboards sold with low-end systems that don't have either kind of slot. They use integrated video instead, making it difficult to upgrade. In these situations, you have to go with a regular PCI video card, which can still be a lot better than integrated video.

Be careful not to confuse PCI and PCI-Express. Regular old PCI is the type of slot found on just about every motherboard made since the early 90s. PCI-Express has only started to gain popularity in the last 2 years. You can search for each term on to get a more detailed description with pics.
