I have had this issue since I started using Vista on my laptop 4 years ago. I have never been able to connect a bluetooth device to it. None. No phones, no scanners, nothing. Every setting is correct and select ie under discover "allow bluetooth devices to find this computer" is checked, under connections both "allow bluetooth devices to connect to this computer" and "alert me..." is checked.
This time, I'm using the newest 7.x of the Blackberry Desktop Manager to add my BB. I click ADD. My PCS sees and lists my Blackberry so it is definitely enabled. A window pops up in my task bar "a bluetooth device is requesting to connect to your computer. To allow this connection, click this message." I click the message and NOTHING HAPPENS.
This is the same thing that happens no matter what device I try and connect. I've already done the removing and re-installing drivers etc. Yes, it's also a specific Vista driver.
So incredibly annoying.
