Cannot compress source safe files using 7ZIP

We are using 7ZIP to backup source safe files every week.
It works well at before, but recently the 7ZIP always throws exception during compressing, the error message is:

D:\SourceSafe\Application\data\status.dat : The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

WARNING: Cannot open 1 file
'Failed to zip Source Safe'

Is there any solution to avoid this error and make it can work?

From the error message, it seems that the file is being used by other programs. You can look up your task manager to see if it is used by any process.
