Hi! I'm using Foxpro 2.6 for DOS and I have an unusual problem.

After I have completed my project, I can successfully compile the *.prg files into a compact *.exe.

But when I try to compile the *.prg files into a stand-alone or extended version, I get this error message:

'RUN/! COMMAND FAILED' at the end of compilation process.

I truly don't know the cause of this problem.

Help me please...

Hi
Probably some error in some of the files FP is looking for, Suggest reinstallation of distribution pack and then try compilation. If you have done any patch updates, dont forget to do that again. (Like dzPatch)
Best of luck :) ramani :-9

To create these kind of .EXE's, you'll need to have a number of files present in your FPD directory. The first are WLINK8.EXE, and WOVL.LIB - these required by the Watcom Linker which make these code files possible. In addition for the standalone to work, there are number of other .LIB files required to provide the runtime abilities when you don't use the compact form.

You may also be getting this error depending on the OS you are running under (95/98/ME/NT/200/XP) and the memory options you set up for firing up FPD.

Thanks for your kind assistance.

I'll try them out by first doing a fresh reinstall of Foxpro 2.6 and its' distribution kit.
