Cannot clear crashed connection

I have following problem. When a workstation crashes and files remain open I am not able to clear the connection. When I try to do this in MONITOR, monitor freezes and I have to restart the server. The new filesys.nlm did not help.

Many thans for any tip.

What NOS are we talking about, I haven't seen this in years. this is a well known bug in NW 3.x and early 4.x. Check out support.novell, search for TID 1001017, this should lead you in the right direction.
