Hi, a workstation crashed twice and two connection stayed open with a lot of open files, I cannot clear the connections with monitor nor with clear station. It's a production server with Netware Small Bussiness 5.0 and support pack 6a installed.
When I use "clear station ##" at the console, it returns the message "Station ## is ALREADY clear"

Please help me with this!!!! :-(

I could not try your hint, because another workstation crashed and this time when I tried to clear the connection monitor.nlm freezed.
At Novell support forum Kai Reichert gave this hint:
"At the console enter "set client file caching enabled=off" and reboot
the server. That should prevent it."

I rebooted the server at night and right now everything is ok. :)

I have noticed this happening on our Novell 5 servers...

Try using the NetWare portal. For those unfamiliar with the portal, type the servers IP address into your Internet browser (you may have to add :8008 at the end eg.
When in there, click on the login button. Login using the full context eg. .user.ou.org. Once in there, click on the ServerManagement menu on the left. On the right, find the connection and see if you can delete it from there.

By the way, I strongly advise the SET CLIENT FILE CACHING ENABLED = OFF command be set. -----------------------------------------------------
