Whenever I ask for any report to print, the report goes directly to the printer. I do not receive the Print window where I would have the ability to change the number of copies I need. We are on GP v9.00.0358. Everything worked properly until the printer had a problem pulling from the manual (tray 1)- the printer is a HP CP3505n printer. Our IS department uninstalled the printer driver and removed the named printer. They reinstalled the printer driver, changed some settings on the printer and recreated the named printer. Printer is now pulling from tray 1 when I need it to, but I cannot get the window to change the copies. I can go to another PC and sign on with my sign on - and try to print and the PRINT window comes up, but it is not using the same printer as i am. Any suggestions?

Go back into the Named Printer settings, click on the hyperlink for Machine ID and uncheck 'Do Not Display System Print Dialog'. Typically most users do not want to see that dialog box, but it sounds like you want it back.

vick400 - Thanks so much - that fixed my problem.

Changing that setting in Named Printers is actually changing the following setting in the DEX.INI.

NoPrintDialogs=TRUE

As Victoria mentioned, most users want this off, so when I developed Named Printers, I made the default setting to turn the dialog off.
