Problem:
I have a Dell laptop running Vista Home Premium that will NOT access the Internet when connected to my small home wired (not wireless) network. The IPv4 Connection shows "Local" instead of "Internet and Local," and I am unable to change the "Local" option to "Internet and Local."

Dell Laptop (Vista) - This is the newly added laptop
Pinging successful to D-Link Rtr (Gateway) successful from
HP Desktop (XP)
Dell Desktop (Vista)

Uninstalled and reinstalled TCP/IP IPv4
Searched all properties tabs for option to
change IPv4 from "Local" to "Internet and Local"
Matched all laptop options to working Vista Desktop PC
(Including TCP/IP IPv4 - DHCP)
Searched Internet for solutions without success!!
