We have had some customers change telcos. The telco ported the numbers to the new telco number. We cannot call our customers out our PRI circuit. Says number has been disconnected. I know this is a SP issue but the SP doesnt have a clue on what to do. They are just sitting on a TAC case. Any ideas? Maybe give them a clue? You can call the numbers from a cell and they work fine it is just translating from our PRI to the numbers.

I have seen carriers not update the data bases. Sometimes you can call from one carrier and not another. Have them make sure the databases are updated.

Sounds like a database issue. Carriers are supposed to "dip" to find out which provider is responsible for any dialed number. From there, the call is routed to that provider based on the LERG.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

Tell them to refer it to their "trunking group" and have him trace the calls.

Also, if this is AT&T watch out if the PRI is custom 4ESS. Local dialing may not be possible in that case.

Have you tried using a 10 digits? 1+ 10 digits?

As I understand the issue, people calling in, from different carriers, get intercept recordings.

The former Service Provider has not finished porting to the new provider.
