Cannot Browse Microsoft.com with IE 5.5 "Help!"

I recently installed IE6 on my win2k machine to test it out. After my browser crashing repeatedly on various websites, I decided to uninstall it. Now I am back to IE 5.5sp2 and cannot browse Microsoft.com. This sux.

I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions or has heard of this happening before. Thank you ahead of time for any help or information you can pass along.
